About
Objective: The Stanford Mentoring Model project intends to develop a model university and high school mentoring program. Students in the program will work with technical mentors on a continuum of projects that will be hands-on activities to build interest and capabilities for engineering and science careers. Stanford University leads, in partnership with another local college or university, will assist both mentors and students (grades K-12) in carrying out these activities. Desired Outcomes: - Develop a program in which students work with technical mentors on a continuum of hands-on projects. Stanford will lead in partnering with another college or university, with Stanford establishing a training program with mentors from industry or government who will support K-12 students in their hands-on projects.
