Objective: The Economic Development Innovation Toolkit project goal is to develop and implement a toolkit to be used by economic development professionals and Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) to provide support to entrepreneurial businesses that drive innovation across the California Innovation Corridor. Its long-term goal is to create an atmosphere in which the culture, environment and systems are characterized and driven by robust innovation and flourishing entrepreneurship. Desired Outcomes: - Develop an economic development "toolkit" in the first 18 months of the project, incorporating effective economic development roadmaps, resource integration, and innovative tools to reach the targeted entrepreneurial audience. - Complete annual benchmarking report and index, in order to determine how each of three venture communities has grown its innovation sector network.
