Objective: The "Smart Suppliers" project intends to characterize foundational "smart supplier" competitiveness skills for organizations throughout the California Innovation Corridor. To this end, it will articulate a set of common smart supplier program requirements and learning outcomes, via a supply chain training provider and support network. It will also characterize common foundational core competitive skills, training requirements, and learning outcomes, in order to enable supplier transformation. Desired Outcomes: - A minimum of five Workforce Investment Board (WIB) representatives to attend Supply Chain Forums in years 2 and 3 of the project. - At least 50 suppliers and/or training providers to attend these forums. - Implementation strategies obtained from a minimum of three training providers for a common set of training outcomes, impacting a minimum of 200 suppliers over three years. - Production and distribution of a Training Resources Matrix to a minimum of 1,000 supplier contacts.
