About
Organization: Founded in 1929, the Antelope Valley Community College District (AVC) is a comprehensive community college in the California Community College System. It is dedicated to providing educational programs and services to a broad range of students with a variety of educational goals, as expressed in the California Master Plan for Higher Education. Its mission is to respond to the requirements of regional business, industry, and public service, as well as the social and cultural needs of the Antelope Valley. The college creates and fosters relationships between AVC and its constituents: students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community at large. AVC is a partner on two WIRED projects. Tasks: Project 2.1 - Supplier Transformation: - With project partners, AVC will support program development and outreach for an Advisory Group Forum. Through this forum, the characteristics of Supplier Transformation and future Supplier training needs will be elucidated, presented, and identified. - Articulate a set of common smart supplier program requirements and learning outcomes across a supply chain provider and support network, to be created with partners as a project deliverable. Project 2.2 - Smart Suppliers: - A minimum of five Workforce Investment Board (WIB) representatives attending the Supply Chain Forums in years 2 and 3 of the project, and at least 50 suppliers and/or training providers attending these forums. - Implementation strategies from a minimum of three training providers regarding a common set of training outcomes, impacting a minimum of 200 suppliers over three years.
