Organization:
The Antelope Valley Board of Trade (AVBoT) was founded in 1957 in order to engage in maintaining and promoting diverse business and industry, quality infrastructures and provide a strong legislative voice for the benefit of its members and the Greater Antelope Valley. It aims to expand job opportunities, create a healthy business climate, monitor legislative issues of local concern, and to build and maintain positive relationships with local, state, national, and international business and governmental agencies. AVBoT is a partner on two WIRED projects, listed below. Tasks: Project 1.3 - Inventory of Key Innovation Assets: - Identification and profiling of a minimum of 140 California Innovation Corridor Innovation Assets (Federal and private Research and Development labs, military installations, college/university research centers and private companies). - Add the 140 profiles to Connectory.com. Design an economic development resource database tool (Corridor Innovative Asset Portal) to house the 140 profiles, as a Corridor Portal. Project 2.1 - Supplier Transformation: - Recruitment of a minimum of 12 industry and other key supply chain stakeholders for an Industry Advisory Group. - Attract a minimum of five Workforce Investment Board (WIB) representatives to the project's Supplier Transformation Orientation Forum, as well as 50 supplier and/or training provider attendees.
