Organization:
The Orange County Workforce Investment Board (OC-WIB) oversees Orange County's workforce development activities and establishes programs in response to the workforce needs of Orange County. OCWIB designs and implements programs and services for business, adults, youth and dislocated workers. This system operates through One-Stop Career Centers, and satellite centers, conveniently located throughout the County. Each Center offers wealth of training, information and assistance for businesses and job seekers. The WIB also oversees the development and coordination of the county-wide Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, as well as provide updated labor market analysis and information for the region.
Tasks:
Project 1.3 - Inventory of Key Innovation Assets: - Identification and profiling of a minimum of 140 California Innovation Corridor Innovation Assets (Federal and private Research and Development labs, military installations, college/university research centers and private companies). - Add the 140 profiles to Connectory.com. Design an economic development resource database tool (Corridor Innovative Asset Portal) to house the 140 profiles, as a Corridor Portal.
Project 3.1 - Workforce Analysis: - With partners, generate a minimum of 200 company responses to project survey. - Analyze data and develop a final report of the survey results, publicize and disseminate results, and develop and share strategies to address identified training and education gaps across the Corridor.
