About
Organization: Cerritos College (Cerritos), founded in 1955, is a public comprehensive community college serving an area of 52 square miles of southeastern Los Angeles county. The college offers degrees and certificates in 87 areas of study in nine divisions. The Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) is an initiative of the California Community College system, designed to preparing the workforce for the technological challenges of tomorrow, serve as a resource for customized training and technical assistance, and integrate people with technology. Cerritos is a partner on one WIRED project. Tasks: Project 3.11 - Mechatronics/Tech Cert Recruitment: - With partners, develop an industrial technology-based Mechatronics degree program. - Develop successful student recruitment strategies for technical certification programs, resulting in increased numbers of students interested in enrolling in technical certification programs.
